Layouts on this site

How can I upload a layout here?

Login with your account details, click the Upload new button in the header and select Single layout. Now you can fill some information about the layout – title, description and category (description is optional). Try to enter the layout title as descriptive as possible.

Then you have to load your layout file and a preview image. You can find your layouts in your LFS directory, in the data/layout folder. The preview should contain an in-game screenshot or another things, which generally describe the layout. Note, that the preview image is important for potential downloaders of your layout.

Can I insert links, pictures and other stuff to my description?

You can insert only text links currently. Format them like this:

[url]link url[/url] or [url="link url"]link title[/url].

Don't forget to include "http://" at the beginning of the URL.

Example: [url="http://www.lfs.net"]LFS Website[/url]

Can I delele my layout?

Yes, go to My layouts page and click Delete. This action is not undoable!

How do I put a downloaded layout to my LFS?

Two alternatives:

• Move the layout into your LFS directory into the /data/layout folder.
• Instead of saving the layout, you can open it, so it's automatically copied into your LFS directory (to be able to open LFS layouts by LFS.exe, you need to have LFS associations enabled).

Then run LFS, go to the track selection screen, select the track where the layout is on and select it from the list called "Layout" beside the track map.

You can load a layout in another way as well. Select a track / config first, join the track with your car, press SHIFT+U to enable free camera view (and perhaps press Space to show the button interface) and select "Load layout" from the bottom right menu.
